Tips for Perfect Results

Perfectly caramelized and coated in tangy balsamic glaze, this salmon will have you coming back for seconds.

To get the perfect balsamic glazed salmon, there are some tips that can help you take your dish to the next level. Here are some of my best tips to achieve perfect results:

First and foremost, always preheat your oven to 400°F or 200°C for baking or roasting your salmon in the oven. This guarantees that your salmon will cook evenly and ensures that it turns out perfectly cooked every single time.

When preparing the balsamic glaze, make sure to use a good quality balsamic vinegar as it adds a depth of flavor to your glaze that is unbeatable. The better the vinegar you use in your recipe, the better the taste of your final dish will be.

To get the perfect coating on your salmon fillets, mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl first before brushing it onto the fish. This helps all of the flavors combine evenly and stick to your fish, ensuring a tasty and even glaze.

If you’re using skin-on salmon fillets, start cooking them skin-side down on medium-high heat in a nonstick skillet for three minutes before transferring them into the oven. This ensures a crispy skin while keeping your actual fish moist and tender inside.

Lastly, do not overcook your salmon in the oven as it will lead to tough and dry meat. A general rule of thumb for cooking time is around 10-12 minutes per inch of thickness. Always check for doneness by inserting a fork into the thickest part and looking for flakiness.

With these simple tips, you can easily create restaurant-worthy balsamic glazed salmon right from the comfort of your own home!
