Now that we have gathered all the ingredients for our Fancy Fast Chicken recipe, it’s time to move on to the most exciting part – cooking! Are you ready to impress your guests in a way that will leave them wondering how you managed to create such deliciousness without putting in a lot of extra work? This recipe is here to help you achieve just that – serving a fancy dinner that looks and tastes like it took hours to prepare. So let’s get straight to it!

Preheat Your Oven

Before anything else, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). It is important to have a properly heated oven before placing any food in, to ensure even cooking throughout.

Prepare Chicken Breasts

Place your 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves in an oven-safe dish. If needed, tenderize the chicken by pounding lightly with a meat mallet. Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.

Add Stuffing Mixture

For the stuffing mixture, melt 1/4 cup margarine in a saucepan over medium heat. Add 10 3/4 ounces can condensed cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup dry white wine, and stir until no lumps remain.

Stir in 1 1/2 cups herb-seasoned stuffing cubes and mix until completely combined with the liquid mixture. Let the stuffing cool slightly before placing a generous amount on top of each chicken breast.

Add Swiss Cheese & Mushrooms

Top each piece of chicken with 1 slice Swiss cheese and sprinkle with sliced fresh mushrooms, optional.

Bake and Serve

Place the dish of chicken breasts into the preheated oven and bake for approximately 35-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside, registering an internal temperature of 165 °F (74 °C) when measured by an instant-read thermometer in the thickest part of the chicken. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Arrange one piece of chicken on each plate and spoon some pan juices over it. You can serve this fancy fast chicken recipe with vegetables or roasted potatoes for an elegant presentation. Your guests will love this fulfilling yet easy-to-make Mr Food fancy fast recipe!

Are you looking to switch things up with my Fancy Fast Chicken Recipe? Fear not, I have some options for substitutions and variations that will add a different flair to your fancy fast chicken dinner.

Firstly, for the cheese lovers out there, switch out the Swiss cheese for shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese. It will give the dish a different texture and taste that you and your guests will surely love.

Want to make this recipe even more indulgent? Swap out the margarine for butter and use herb-seasoned croutons instead of stuffing cubes. This substitution may increase the overall flavor and richness of the dish.

For those who want some extra nutrition, try adding some fresh vegetables such as broccoli, carrots or even green beans to the dish. Or simply choose to swap out fresh mushrooms with baby spinach leaves for more greens.

As a meat alternative, you can also substitute boneless, skinless chicken breasts with sliced pork chops or even turkey cutlets. These substitutions alter both texture and flavor profiles.

Finally, if you want to go the extra mile with presentation, consider using toothpicks to hold each chicken breast piece rolled up with mushrooms and cheese before baking them in the oven. Your guests will love these bite-sized portions!

No matter which substitution or variation you opt for, don’t worry about compromising on taste. With these small tweaks, you can guarantee an exquisite dinner without a lot of extra work.

Serving and Pairing

Impress your guests with the fancy and fast presentation of this chicken dish.

When it comes to serving and pairing this fancy fast chicken recipe, I suggest keeping it simple. Since this dish already has a lot of flavors, you don’t want to pair it with anything that will overpower it.

One easy option is to serve it with a side of steamed vegetables and roasted potatoes. This will not only complement the flavors of the chicken but also add some texture and color to your plate.

Another pairing option is to serve it over rice pilaf or mashed potatoes. This will help soak up all the delicious sauce from the chicken, making for an even more satisfying meal.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can also try pairing this dish with a dry white wine like a Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. The acidity in the wine will cut through the richness of the cheese and cream sauce, creating a well-balanced meal.

Overall, this fancy fast chicken recipe is versatile enough to be paired with many different sides and drinks. Don’t be afraid to experiment and find your own perfect pairing!

Tips for Perfect Results

The juicy and tender meat paired with the tasty pan sauce is a match made in heaven.
The juicy and tender meat paired with the tasty pan sauce is a match made in heaven.

To make this fancy fast chicken recipe a total hit, here are some tips that can help ensure its perfection.

Firstly, you can use boneless, skinless chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts. Thighs are more tender and have more flavor than breasts, as they have a higher fat content. However, if you still prefer to stick to chicken breasts, pound them with a meat mallet to get an even thickness. This ensures that they cook evenly without leaving parts undercooked or overcooked.

Secondly, make sure to use fresh mushrooms rather than canned ones. Fresh mushrooms have a much better texture and flavor profile than their canned counterparts.

Thirdly, it is recommended that you use herb-seasoned stuffing cubes instead of regular breadcrumbs to give the dish another layer of flavor. Also, when adding the swiss cheese on top of the chicken breast, be sure to add it within the last few minutes of cooking so it can melt perfectly onto the chicken without getting rubbery.

Moreover, using cream of chicken soup in place of white wine also works well if you’re not fond of alcohol in your meals. It provides the right blend of creaminess and chicken flavor that your guests will surely enjoy.

In addition to that, you may want to try coating the chicken in margarine before adding the stuffing cubes as it adds a luscious buttery flavor to the dish. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can incorporate some grated parmesan cheese along with the stuffing cubes for an added depth of flavor.

Finally, do not skip browning the mushroom and garlic in margarine before placing them on top of the chicken breast. Browning enhances their flavors significantly and boosts the umami taste that makes this dish irresistibly delicious.

Follow these tips for perfect results and wow your guests with this fancy fast chicken recipe that’s easy but oh-so-good.
