I know I knowwwww, it’s going to be 68 degrees today and it’s daylight savings and it’s almost spring … why oh whyyyy would I be posting a chili recipe?!

Well. Hear me out friends!

One, because I threw this together last week, ya know, when it snowed and all. Because clearly we like to experience alltheseasons in a few days time here in the RVA 😉

And two, because it’s such a light & hearty chili idea packed full of veggie goodness that I could see it being tasty whether the weather was warm or cold!!

But first. I know you’re just dyinggggggg to know what happened over the weekend and more importantly, what about the eatz?!

Well.

I shall not hold you in suspense anyyyy longer 😛

Let’s see. The weekend started off right with happy hour at the new Pearl Raw Bar .

I’m just calling it now!!

With $3 happy hour wines and half off raw bar & appetizer menu items, I can see this being a regular HH spot forrrrr sure. These crispy fish sliders were super tasty too for the record 🙂

There were also some fabulous eatz at a bridal shower Saturday held at Havana 59. The perfect day for a closed in patio luncheon complete with mimosas of course!

After the festivities it was time to fire up the grill, since warmer weather just screams a light grilled dinner to me!

Hawaiian chicken, grilled veggies, cous cous and wine and dinner was served.

And by the way, if you haven’t played Loaded Questions before, you should totally give it a try. We had too much fun with that one! Or maybe it was just the wine 😉

After a busy Sunday enjoying the outdoors, the weekend ended with a most delicious seafood dinner

Oh yea. And speaking of recipes. We had to go over here now didn’t we?? Leave it to me to keep rambling on and always get sidetracked!!!

Turkey White Bean & Butternut Squash Chili

Turkey. Onion. Garlic. Spices.

Chicken broth.

White beans. Diced green chilis.

Butternut squash. Spinach.

  2. $3 hh wine?!? Best deal ever! They have $4 HUGE glasses at Cava’s hh, but $3 is unheard of ’round these parts.
    This chili sounds fab. The temps are going to be all over the place this week, so you never know – chili just might be needed.

  5. Haha! I made soup last night ’cause it was a cold(er) evening and I knew that I was running out of “winter” in which to make my soups. Not that I’m complaining ’cause I LOVE summer! Your chili looks yummy! 🙂
