Well well, we made it through the New Years celebrations y’all!!!

We had a fabulous time celebrating with a group of wonderful people and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come in the brand new year 
I hope all of you did too no matter how you chose to celebrate!
I also couldn’t be more excited to share with you my first meal of 2013.
Which, of course, was Mexican themed!! I mean would we have it any other way?? haha
When I heard that local restaurant Pasture was doing a Mexican-themed brunch I just knew that I’d be all over it.
All brunches should be Mexican brunches from now on me thinks?!
There was this apple mimosa to start off with…
And yes, you heard that right. Apple.Mimosa. !!!
Featuring Potters dry cider, peach schnapps & cava.
Definitely something I can see myself having again and again
There was also these enchiladas w/ braised mushrooms, onions & chilies wrapped in corn tortillas and covered with mole pipian.
Corn tortillas are just my kryptonite. I love them.
A touch of added hot sauce was all this meal needed to be the perfect way to start off 2013 right! Oh yea, and to ya know, bring me back to life and all…
Hey, celebrating the new year is tough work, but somebody’s gotta do it 
So yea. We made it. 2013 it is!

I almost always go Mexican themed with I brunch out, and often when I brunch at home. Anything with eggs, hot sauce and sour cream is basically my favorite.

Oh my goodness, apple mimosas sound fabulous! I’m partial to cranberry-grapefruit, but definitely could be swayed to try an apple version
