This past weekend I had a few adventures of my own visiting friends up in good ol’ Washington D.C…
Gorgeous weather. Good times. Old-school reunions.

Delicious eatz. Delicious drinkz.
Chile relleno, freshly made tortilla chips & salsa, white sangria and salad w/ house-made dressing (and hearts of palm, love!)
If you’ve never tried a chile relleno, all I’m sayin’ is please please do. This was a tender poblano stuffed with gooey cheese, battered and lightly fried then smothered in a spicy tomato sauce & more cheese. I mean seriously y’all. Yum!
Brunchin’ it = cocktail time!!
Maybe the best bellini I’ve ever had? But really.
Egg white omelet w/ spinach, mushrooms & cheese. Lobster roll w/ potato salad.
Not too shabby, huh?

But now it’s back to reality. And back into the kitchen for this lady!
This week I’ve got a fantastic hot-weather recipe for you guys…
One that turned out so very good and one that I can’t wait to share.
It’s not only delicious, but also just perfect for the 90 degree temps we’re getting here this week!
