“Dinner in Twenty”

Serious case of the Mondays yesterday = 20 minute dinner = yes please!

Because you know, sometimes life just gets in the way now doesn’t it ;)

Luckily I picked up these bleu cheese & bacon burgers from Whole Foods to stow away for such an occasion.

And they did not disappoint!

To go with we had some organic mac n’ cheese, because “having boxed macaroni & cheese as a side dish with your dinner is OK.” <— right Courtney?! :D

If you haven’t checked out Courtney’s post on healthier versions of this boxed classics vs. ehh hmmm Kraft-like products then you definitely should.

And then throw away said Kraft-like products if you feel so inclined… just sayin’ ;)

I added some extra cheese too because, you know, there just wasn’t enough cheese going on in this meal.

Served with a side of brussels, this was a seriously easy dinner and also seriously delicious.

And yes, I put hot sauce on my mac n’ cheese… normal, right.

This easy dinner was also very welcomed because The Man and I spent some time discussing a lil’ project in Casa de Fanatic we’re ready to kick off!

New kitchen floors!!!!!!!!!!

Finally :)

We picked this out this past weekend and I’m thinking it’s “the one”… what do you think?

Well gotta run folks, I’m fixing up a Mardi Gras classic tonight to celebrate Fat Tuesday :D

JAMBALAYA!!!!

I’m exciteddddddd.

Let’s hope it turns out as planned…. ;)

  1. Yes! I hit up publix pre-made burgers somethings- life savers! The tile looks great- I’m a huge “big” tile fan. Hope your fat Tuesday meal is a yummy one

  2. Girl, you know mac & cheese makes an excellent side dish! Thanks for the shout out! :)

By the way, the fact that you put hot sauce on mac & cheese makes me like you even more!

  3. LOVE the tiles!!! I think tile floors look so classy. You can never go wrong with them!!

Mmmm…I’ve never had jambalaya, but I’ve always wanted to try it! Can’t wait to see what you whipped up. ;-)

  4. I will put hot sauce on anything. I’ve definitely put it on mac and cheese before.
Jambalaya is one of my fave things everrrr! Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

  5. Yay for jambalya and DOUBLE yay for new floors!!!!!
I LOVE them, excellent choice. I’m a big fan of slate tile (which is kinda what that looks like) in the kitchen and as soon as we rip ours apart I will be doing very much the same.
P.S. If you ever want to feel REALY good and fortunate about your kitchen…just look at pictures of mine. You will probably end up weeping for me. Can you say 70′s much?! (maroon walls, limonlium floors with the most HIDEOUS orange, maroon, BROWN and tan and then brown cabinets…did I mention I hate all of those colors?)

  6. I like the tiles! I love kitchen floors with big neutral-coloured tiles. Love it!
